
REYKJAVIK, Jan 11 (Reuters) - German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul said on Sunday that concerns over security in the northern Atlantic need to be discussed in the framework of the NATO alliance.
"If the American president is looking at threats coming from Russian or Chinese vessels or submarines here in the region, we can, of course, find answers together to that," said Wadephul.
He was speaking during a stopover in Iceland on his way to Washington, where he is due meet with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Monday.
