Russia launches 242 drones, 36 missiles to hit Ukraine's infrastructure, Kyiv says

KYIV, Jan 9 (Reuters) - Russia launched a barrage of 242 drones and 36 missiles, including one hypersonic intermediate-range ballistic missile, to target Ukraine's critical infrastructure in overnight attacks on Friday, the Ukrainian air force said.
Ukrainian air defences downed 226 drones and 18 missiles, the air force said. It said on the Telegram app that 18 missiles and 16 attack drones hit their targets at 19 sites.
