BOGOTA, Jan 7 - United States President Donald Trump and Colombian President Gustavo Petro held a phone call on Wednesday afternoon, according to a presidential source and local media.
This is the first phone call between the two presidents since Trump said on Sunday that a U.S. military operation focused on Colombia's government "sounds good" to him.
Details of the conversation were not immediately made clear but the source within Petro's office said the call was "cordial" and "respectful".
