Spain to propose military participation in Ukraine "to consolidate peace"

MADRID, Jan 6 (Reuters) - Spain will propose that its military help consolidate peace in Ukraine once a ceasefire has been negotiated there, Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez told a news conference on Tuesday after a summit of allies of Ukraine in Paris.
"The Spanish government will propose that we open the door to military participation in Ukraine," he said, adding that he would discuss such involvement with the main political parties at home.
