UBS says it believes US airlines are likely to provide bullish Q1 and FY26 outlooks given the demand bounced back following government shutdown
Shares of United Airlines UAL.O up 3%, Southwest Airlines LUV.N up 1.5% and American Airlines AAL.O up about 1.8% in early trading
Brokerage says Q4 expectations are well-calibrated, given some airlines pre-released in December, which has provided a good framework on the impact of the government shutdown
"We highlight UAL as our top pick heading into reporting on potential for upside on Q1 outlook," brokerage says
Following are the new PTs:
Airline | New PT | Old PT |
United Airlines | $145 | $142 |
Southwest Airlines | $45 | $43 |
American Airlines | $21 | $20 |
