Jan 3 (Reuters) - The Indian Ministry of External Affairs said on Saturday that Indian nationals are strongly advised to avoid all non-essential travel to Venezuela.
All Indians who are in Venezuela are advised to "exercise extreme caution, restrict their movements, and remain in contact with Embassy of India in Caracas," the statement said.
The U.S. attacked Venezuela and deposed its long-serving President Nicolas Maduro in an overnight operation Saturday, in Washington's most direct intervention in Latin America since the 1989 invasion of Panama.
