EU stands by people of Venezuela, supports democratic transition, von der Leyen says

BRUSSELS, Jan 3 (Reuters) - The European Union stands by the people of Venezuela and supports a peaceful and democratic transition in the country, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said on Saturday.
"Following very closely the situation in Venezuela. We stand by the people of Venezuela and support a peaceful and democratic transition. Any solution must respect international law and the UN Charter," von der Leyen said in a post on X.
