KYIV, Dec 28 (Reuters) - Ukraine's military said on Sunday that only part of the southeastern town of Huliaipole was under Russian control, contradicting an earlier claim by Moscow that it has captured it.
"The situation in Huliaipole is currently very difficult. But at the moment the Russians do not have full control over this settlement," Ukraine's southern command said in a statement.
It added that fighting was also still underway for Stepnohirsk, another town in the southeastern Zaporizhzhia region that Russia said on Sunday it had captured.
