BRUSSELS, Dec 22 (Reuters) - Arctic security remains a key priority for the European Union, EU Commission President chief Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President Antonio Costa said on Monday following the U.S. appointment of a special envoy to Greenland.
"Territorial integrity and sovereignty are fundamental principles of international law. These principles are essential not only for the European Union, but for nations around the world," they both posted on social media platform X.
Von der Leyen and Costa added that the EU stood "in full solidarity with Denmark and the people of Greenland".
