BEIJING, Dec 18 (Reuters) - China's Foreign Ministry said on Thursday it condemns the United States' new arms sale to Taiwan, saying Washington had "seriously violated" the one-China principle and damaged peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait.
The U.S. arming Taiwan will only backfire, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said at a daily press briefing in Beijing, urging the U.S. to "immediately cease the dangerous act of arming Taiwan."
