MOVES-Citi promotes Ryan Ellis to head of market sales for Australia, NZ

SINGAPORE, Dec 18 (Reuters) - Citi C.N has appointed Ryan Ellis as head of market sales for Australia and New Zealand, covering financial institutions and corporates, according to an internal memo seen by Reuters on Thursday.

Ellis, who has led Australia and New Zealand rates sales at Citi since 2023 after joining the bank in 2020, will retain responsibility for rates.

He has more than two decades of markets experience and has previously worked at Bank of America BAC.N and Deutsche Bank DBKGn.DE.

He begins the role on Thursday and will be based in Sydney, reporting to Cecile Gambardella, the chief of markets sales for Japan, Asia North & Australia and Asia South, and Cristina Chang, the head of markets for Australia, with an additional reporting line to Davy Tsang, the head of rates investor sales for Asia North & Australia and Asia South.
