Majority of US senate backs defense policy bill, voting continues

WASHINGTON, Dec 17 (Reuters) - A majority of the U.S. Senate backed a $901 billion annual defense policy bill on Wednesday.
As voting continued, the 100-member Senate backed the National Defense Authorization Act, or NDAA, by 54-8.
