Senior Chinese Communist Party official meets US ambassador

BEIJING, Nov 25 (Reuters) - The head of the international department of China's Communist Party, Liu Haixing, on Tuesday met with U.S. ambassador to China David Perdue in Beijing following a phone call between the Chinese and U.S. presidents, a statement from the department showed.
The department is willing to promote enhanced communication and dialogue between political parties, think tanks, enterprises, youth and the public of the two countries, Liu said in the statement.
