Germany's Merz says murdered Israeli hostages must return home

BERLIN, Oct 13 (Reuters) - German Chancellor Friedrich Merz on Monday welcomed the release of the remaining Israeli hostages, adding that murdered hostages must be returned as well for the benefit of their families.
"The murdered hostages must also return home so that their families can say goodbye with dignity, Merz said on X.
