BEIJING, Oct 13 (Reuters) - If the U.S. is determined to go its own way, China will resolutely take corresponding measures to safeguard its legitimate rights and interests, the Chinese foreign ministry said on Monday.
China urges the U.S. to promptly correct its "wrong practices", ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said during a regular press briefing when asked about Trump's plan to impose additional 100% tariffs on Chinese goods on November 1.
The Chinese side urges the U.S. to act on the basis of equality, respect and mutual benefit, Lin added.
