WASHINGTON, Sept 30 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday said his administration would cut drug prices by a 100% or more, speaking ahead of a planned announcement with Pfizer PFE.N on lower prices for several medications, without explaining how the cuts would be enacted.
“I think it's one of the biggest things that we'll do. We'll be reducing drug prices by 100% in some cases, 300% or more,” he told reporters as he arrived at the White House after delivering remarks to the military in Virginia.
