Putin and Xi did not discuss deploying Chinese peacekeepers to Ukraine, TASS reports
MOSCOW, Sept 2 (Reuters) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping did not discuss the deployment of a Chinese peacekeeping contingent to Ukraine during their talks this week in China, Russian state news agency TASS reported, citing the Kremlin.
Several European countries have floated the idea of deploying peacekeeping forces of their own to Ukraine once a peace deal is reached.
