BERLIN, Aug 22 (Reuters) - Europe remains committed to diplomacy, but time is ticking in the nuclear talks with Iran, the foreign minister of Germany said on Friday after talks with his British and French counterparts and the EU's foreign policy chief.
"Time is very short and Iran needs to engage substantively in order to avoid the activation of snapback. We have been clear that we will not let the snapback of sanctions expire unless there is a verifiable and durable deal," Johann Wadephul wrote in an X post.
The Europeans have instructed their political directors to meet with Iranian counterparts next week, he said.
