- (The Insurer) - Marsh has appointed Brian Glod as global head of aviation and space and Tony Ambrose as global chairman of the same unit, the company said on Thursday.

Both appointments are effective September 1. Glod, based in New York, will join Marsh’s global specialty executive committee, while Ambrose, based in London, will report to senior executives in the UK.

Additionally, Patton Kline will succeed Glod as regional aviation and space practice leader for the U.S.

Kline will oversee Marsh’s expanding U.S. aviation and space business and will report to leaders in the U.S. and Canada.

Marsh's appointments come after Willis hired multiple senior members of its aviation unit this year, including former global head of aviation and space Garrett Hanrahan, alongside U.S. managing directors Stephen Kisor and John Andrews.

Marsh sued WTW, Hanrahan and Andrews in May alleging that they conspired with their new employer to solicit brokers and clients ahead of commencing employment at the rival.
