Trump says he is willing to meet Democratic leadership ahead of September funding deadline

WASHINGTON, Aug 13 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump said on Wednesday he would be willing to meet with Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer and Democratic House Minority leader Hakeem Jeffries ahead of the funding deadline at the end of September.

"I will, I guess, but it's almost a waste of time to meet, because they never approve anything," Trump said.
