MOSCOW, July 29 (Reuters) - The Kremlin said on Tuesday it had "taken note" of a statement by U.S. President Donald Trump that he was shortening his deadline for Moscow to agree an end to the war in Ukraine or face new sanctions on Russia and buyers of its exports.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters that Russia was continuing to pursue what it calls its special military operation in Ukraine but was also committed to a peace process that would resolve the conflict and secure its interests.
