TURNBERRY, Scotland, July 28 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump said he would meet Scottish leader John Swinney on Monday, but declined to answer a question about Scottish independence, saying he didn't want to get involved in the country's internal politics.
Trump, speaking alongside British Prime Minister Keir Starmer at his Turnberry golf resort, said he didn't know Swinney, who leads the government of the 6th Scottish parliament, but had heard great things about him.
He gave no details on when he would meet Swinney.
