US advises its citizens against travel within 30 miles of Thailand-Cambodia border

July 25 (Reuters) - The U.S. State Department on Friday advised U.S. citizens to avoid all travel to the area within 50 km (31 miles) of the Thailand-Cambodia border due to military conflict in the region, it said in a post on X.
Thailand and Cambodia exchanged heavy artillery fire for a second day on Friday as their worst fighting in over a decade intensified and spread to new areas. At least 16 people have been killed and tens of thousands displaced in the escalating border battle.
