White House says discussion of 15% tariff deal with EU is speculation

WASHINGTON, July 23 (Reuters) - Discussion about any possible trade deals with the United States should be considered "speculation," unless they are announced by President Donald Trump, White House spokesman Kush Desai said on Wednesday.
The spokesman was responding to two EU diplomats saying earlier on Wednesday the European Union was heading towards a trade deal with Washington that would result in a broad 15% tariff on EU goods imported into the United States.
