
BERLIN, July 23 (Reuters) - Germany supports the European Union readying 100 billion euros ($117 billion) in countermeasures and its Anti-Coercion Instrument (ACI) against the U.S. if the two sides do not reach a tariff deal, a government representative said on Wednesday.
Commenting on a tariff deal with Japan that was announced by U.S. President Donald Trump, the representative told a briefing that the situation was not comparable with the U.S. and EU.
