RLI casualty vice president Robert Hartje passes away

July 16 - (The Insurer) - Robert Hartje, vice president of E&S casualty brokerage at RLI Insurance Company, has passed away.
Hartje joined RLI in 2013 as a senior underwriter for excess casualty and held several roles during his 12-year tenure with the company.
Earlier in his career, he worked at AIX Group, Quanta US Holdings and Employers Reinsurance Corporation.
In a statement to The Insurer, RLI president and CEO Craig Kliethermes said, “Bob was a respected leader and trusted mentor who led with integrity, humility and a strong sense of purpose. He generously shared his deep industry knowledge and was always willing to invest his time to help others grow.
“We were truly fortunate to have his leadership at RLI, and he will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and working with him.”
