Jensten's MGA names Durling as director of underwriting

July 17 - (The Insurer) - Jensten Underwriting, the MGA unit of UK broker consolidator Jensten Group, has appointed Kathleen Durling as director of underwriting, the company said on Thursday.
In her new role, Durling will be responsible for leading two of Jensten Underwriting’s strategic pillars, focused on expanding specialist and niche underwriting capabilities, as well as evolving a product roadmap aligned with the needs of the UK broking market.
Durling joins Jensten from Simply Business, where she served as senior insurance product manager. Other previous roles include underwriting product specialist at CGI and digital portfolio underwriter at MS Amlin.
Jensten said the appointment marked a "significant milestone" in Jensten Underwriting’s five-year strategic plan.
In November, Jensten Group announced that Alistair Hardie had stepped down as group CEO, succeeded by Rob Organ.
