- (The Insurer) - Conifer Insurance Services has brought a new program to market aimed at property owners managing off-campus, privately owned housing for college students.

The program is backed by capacity from an unnamed AM Best A-minus rated carrier, and is written on an admitted basis in Michigan and an on E&S basis in Indiana and Ohio.

Through the program, Conifer can write liability limits of up to $1 million per occurrence and $2 million in the aggregate.

The newly minted program also provides property coverage of up to $10 million per location.

Other protections offered through the program include business income (actual loss sustained), equipment breakdown and special perils.

Conifer’s new program also provides hired and non-owned auto coverage.

The program is the latest in a series of new offerings Conifer has brought to market since it was acquired by RedBird Capital Partners-backed Bishop Street Underwriters last September.

In May, Conifer announced it had secured capacity backing from Skyward Specialty Insurance Group for its new non-admitted Cannabis Select program.

That program complements Conifer’s existing Cannabis Essentials coverage by providing elevated coverage limits, expanded property protection and advanced risk management solutions.
