Turkey helped secure Syria ceasefire after Israeli strikes, source says

ANKARA, July 17 (Reuters) - Turkey played a crucial role securing a ceasefire in Syria following Israeli air strikes on Damascus including its intelligence officials having held talks with Syria's Druze leader, a Turkish security source said on Thursday.
The source also said intelligence chief Ibrahim Kalin had discussed Israel's strikes with U.S., Israeli and Syrian counterparts, as well as Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa.
