Fusion Specialty names Berkshire Hathaway's Underhill as head of Americas

July 16 - (The Insurer) - Fusion Specialty Insurance has appointed Robert Underhill as head of Americas, the M&A-focused MGA said on Wednesday.
Underhill joins from Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance, where he worked for nine years as global head of transactional liability. He launched and led its M&A insurance operations across the U.S., Europe, Asia and Australia.
He brings over two decades of experience spanning insurance, investment banking and law. His prior roles include senior positions at Locke Lord, Fortress Investment Group, Credit Suisse and Citigroup.
“Robert brings exceptional strategic vision and operational excellence,” said Katherine Simmonds, CEO of Fusion Specialty.
Underhill will lead Fusion's strategic initiatives across the Americas, including team expansion and operational streamlining.
