Clyde & Co names Roberts to chair UK insurance practice

July 16 - (The Insurer) - Global law firm Clyde & Co has appointed Ian Roberts as chair of its UK insurance practice, the company announced on Wednesday.
The newly created position is designed to help boost Clyde & Co’s growth plans in the UK insurance sector.
In his new role, Roberts will lead a new UK insurance leadership group, which includes Clyde & Co partners Angela Flaherty, James Roberts, Louisa Robbins and Paula Jefferson.
“Insurance clients in the UK increasingly require a broad set of relationships across insurance lines,” said senior partner Carolena Gordon. “Ian and the new leadership group will help ensure that we are offering seamless service.”
Roberts is a commercial litigator with experience in the London market. He has spent the last decade based in Clyde & Co's Singapore office, leading the South East Asia insurance practice.
