Dale Underwriting names Cordell head of North America casualty

July 16 - (The Insurer) - Lloyd's insurer Dale Underwriting Partners on Wednesday appointed Peter Cordell to head of North America casualty, effective January 2026.
Cordell joins from MS Amlin, where he was head of treaty casualty and financial lines. At MS Amlin, he oversaw several global portfolios spanning casualty treaty, trade credit, surety, political risk, mortgage and cyber reinsurance.
He began his career at Everest Re in 2005 and joined Amlin Syndicate 2001 in 2012.
Dale, the trading name of Dale Managing Agency Limited’s Lloyd’s Syndicate 1729, said the hire was part of its strategy to expand sustainably across key (re)insurance sectors.
Cordell will report to Ian Bridge, an active underwriter at the underwriter, and lead the syndicate’s North American casualty business, a core market for Lloyd’s insurers.
