Workflow automation startup Heron raises $16 million in Insight-led Series A round

July 15 - (The Insurer) - Artificial intelligence-focused startup Heron has raised $16 million in Series A funding, led by global software investor Insight Partners and other existing investors.
The startup's existing investors that have also participated in the Series A include Y Combinator, BoxGroup and Flex Capital.
Heron uses AI to automate document-heavy workflows in insurance, lending and finance. Heron said that the new capital will be used to scale AI-driven solutions to more segments, including insurance, equipment finance and SMB lending.
