CNA hires Axis’ Allen as US cyber/E&O national technical leader

July 15 - (The Insurer) - CNA Insurance has appointed Eric Allen as U.S. cyber and E&O national technical leader, with the new hire joining from Axis.
Allen had worked at Axis for almost five years, latterly as North American chief underwriting officer, cyber and technology since September 2024.
He has also worked at Chubb, Liberty International Underwriters and AIG.
New York-based Allen announced his new role on LinkedIn, commenting: “I’m looking forward to working with the team to drive innovation and deliver top-tier solutions in the evolving cyber and professional liability space.”
Cyber Risk Insurer was first to report in July last year that CNA had hired Chubb’s head of cyber in North America, Patrick Clabby, to be its new global head of cyber.
