MILAN, July 12 (Reuters) - It is crucial to remain focused on trade negotiations with the United States and avoid further polarisation, Italy's prime minister's office said in a statement after U.S. President Donald Trump announced 30% tariffs on European goods.
Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni is confident that a "fair deal" can be reached on tariffs between the European Union and the United States, the statement added.
Rome fully supports the efforts of the European Commission, the PM's office said.
