July 11 - (The Insurer) – UK reinsurance scheme Flood Re announced three leadership appointments on Friday, including Latinka Pilipovic as chief financial officer.
Pilipovic will assume the role of CFO and board member on August 1. She most recently served as CFO at Guardian Financial Services, and previously held senior roles at Foresters Financial UK, Legal & General and Aviva.
Dave Dunning will now step down from the role of CFO, which he assumed on an interim basis following the exit of Stuart Logue earlier this year.
Meanwhile, Dan Byrne, currently chief risk officer, has been promoted to chief commercial officer.
Byrne, who joined Flood Re in 2016, will continue in the CRO role until an interim successor is named, Flood Re said on Friday.
Max Bero, currently director of operations, has also been appointed as the chief operating officer.
“These appointments reflect our desire to have a strong and knowledgeable executive team in place as we look to address the many challenges and opportunities presented by the impacts of climate change,” said Perry Thomas, who was named CEO in March this year.
