July 10 (Reuters) - Walmart WMT.N has recalled about 850,000 of its Ozark Trail water bottles after reports of three injuries, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said on Thursday.
The retailer's China-made stainless steel insulated bottles, sold for about $15, have led to laceration hazards as the lid forcefully ejects when consumers attempt to open them after storing food and beverages for a long period, the agency added.
Of the three reported cases, two individuals suffered permanent vision loss after being hit in the eye, according to the agency.
Walmart did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
