- (The Insurer) - Guy Carpenter vice president Imogen Wright has resigned to take up a position within Canopius' marine treaty team, two senior marine reinsurance sources told The Insurer.

The Insurer could not confirm the exact role Wright will take up but one senior source said she would move into the space vacated by marine treaty underwriter Rod Loten's exit to join Allied World.

Wright spent three years at Guy Carpenter as a vice president in the marine reinsurance team.

She previously worked as a reinsurance broker at Miller and held support roles at Ascot and Cooper Gay.

Wright's exit has added to a number of recent departures from Guy Carpenter's London-based marine and energy unit. The Insurer was first to report in early June that the reinsurance broker's deputy CEO of global specialties and global head of marine and energy Jim Summers had resigned alongside at least five senior members of his team to join Willis Re.

Guy Carpenter has since launched legal action against Willis Re and several senior Willis executives over these and other attempted hires from its Bermuda operations.

Canopius and Guy Carpenter declined to comment.
