CAC Specialty names Hohlt EVP, surety practice leader

July 9 - (The Insurer) - CAC Specialty has promoted John Hohlt to executive vice president, surety practice leader.

Hohlt previously served as senior vice president, surety practice leader at CAC Specialty, with a focus on the natural resources sector. Earlier in his career, he held positions at Epic Insurance Brokers & Consultants, Wortham Insurance & Risk Management and Argo Group International.

In his new role, Hohlt will oversee CAC Specialty’s surety strategy, aiming to drive growth and deliver specialized solutions for clients with complex bonding requirements, according to the company.

“Surety is a critical part of risk management as organizations across many sectors are navigating a landscape defined by economic uncertainty, supply chain instability, labor shortages, and rising project complexity,” said Michael Wakefield, EVP, head of specialty products at CAC Specialty.
