Lawyers for Sean 'Diddy' Combs propose September 22 sentencing

- Lawyers for Sean "Diddy" Combs on Tuesday proposed that the rapper and music mogul be sentenced on September 22, following his conviction last week on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.

In a letter to U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian, who oversaw Combs' trial in Manhattan, Combs' lawyer Marc Agnifilo said prosecutors do not object to the date, subject to consent from probation officers. The judge must also approve the date.

Combs remains in the Brooklyn jail where he has been held since his arrest last September, even though jurors cleared him at trial of sex trafficking and racketeering charges that could have put him behind bars for life.
