July 8 - (The Insurer) - Tokio Marine HCC's travel insurance-focused subsidiary WorldTrips has appointed Phillip Hsia as CEO, replacing Mark Carney, who will transition to chairman.
Hsia has led Tokio Marine HCC’s global travel group, including oversight responsibility of WorldTrips, since 2018.
“Under (Carney's) guidance, the company navigated unprecedented challenges, including the global pandemic, and recently completed launching our Cayman Islands insurance operation, positioning WorldTrips for greater flexibility and future scalability," said Susan Rivera, Tokio Marine HCC CEO, adding that Hsia "brings proven strategic and managerial expertise with a global perspective."
In June, Tokio Marine HCC appointed Liz Geary as its new North America P&C president and CEO, reporting to Rivera, The Insurer exclusively reported.
