Thailand preparing backup plan on US tariffs, minister says

BANGKOK, July 8 (Reuters) - Thailand is preparing a back-up plan to deal with the 36% tariff imposed on its exports to the United States, the country's finance minister Pichai Chunhavajira told reporters on Tuesday.
He said he was confident that Thailand would be able to get a competitive tariff similar to those imposed on other countries.
