July 7 - (The Insurer) - Unison Risk Advisors has acquired Gibson Insurance Agency, the firm's seventh platform company deal and 26th transaction overall since its establishment in 2020.
Founded in 1933, Gibson is an independent risk management and employee benefits broker serving clients across the U.S. from offices in Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Arizona and Utah.
In accordance with the URA model, Gibson will continue to operate under its existing name with the same leadership and client service teams in place.
As part of the transition, Gibson CEO Tim Leman will join URA's executive council, and president David Walters will join URA's president's council. Both will continue in their respective roles at Gibson.
URA was formed in 2020 through the merger of Cleveland-based Oswald Companies and RCM&D of Baltimore. It subsequently added NSI Insurance Group in June 2023, Enders Insurance and Avondale Insurance Associates in October 2024, and Hatcher Insurance in June 2025.
