July 2 - (The Insurer) - Chubb has appointed Scott Williams as private equity industry practice leader, effective immediately.
Williams will continue to serve as the private/not-for-profit management liability practice leader and will report to Michael Mollica, vice president, Chubb Group and division president, North America financial lines.
In his expanded role, Williams will lead Chubb's strategy for private equity-focused initiatives, overseeing integration of underwriting and claims services to ensure consistent delivery across all product lines tailored for private equity firms and their portfolio companies.
He succeeds Seth Gillston, who was recently appointed head of global casualty for major accounts in North America.
Williams has more than 15 years of insurance industry experience. He joined Chubb in 2009 as division counsel for the private/not-for-profit practice and has since held various underwriting and leadership roles.
