Lockton Re casualty and professional liability broker Braithwaite joining Gallagher Re

June 27 - (The Insurer) - Casualty and professional liability reinsurance broker Mark Braithwaite is joining Gallagher Re after leaving his position at Lockton Re, sources familiar with the matter told The Insurer.

Braithwaite, who spent the last six years with Lockton Re and was among the broker’s early senior hires, also worked on cyber, representations and warranties, and environmental liability deals.

At Gallagher Re he is expected to join the intermediary’s North America leadership team. He previously spent just under 15 years with Willis Re, which was bought by Gallagher Re in 2021.

A spokesperson for Gallagher Re declined to comment. Lockton Re did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
