BERLIN, June 25 (Reuters) - German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius stressed the importance of the United States as a partner in the Ukraine conflict and said allies were working to prevent Washington from losing interest, in comments to the ARD broadcaster on Wednesday.
"Keeping the Americans (...) on board when it comes to Ukraine - this is important because there is more at stake here than just a regional conflict," Pistorius said.
"We are continuing to work to ensure that they do not withdraw. We'll have to see whether we succeed."
