MSIG USA promotes Taylor to head of casualty

June 24 - (The Insurer) - MSIG USA has appointed Jayson Taylor, formerly head of product innovation at the company, as head of casualty.
Before joining MSIG USA in 2024, Taylor spent more than nine years in various roles at Argo Group. He has also held roles at QBE North America, Wells Fargo and Employers.
In his new role, he will oversee strategy, underwriting, portfolio management and product development within the company's casualty business. His responsibilities will span both primary and excess casualty lines, with a focus on profitable growth, technical discipline and alignment with MSIG USA's broader underwriting and distribution priorities.
Taylor will report to Peter McKenna, CEO of MSIG USA.
In May, The Insurer reported that MSIG USA had appointed Kent Ziegler from Axis Capital as chief financial officer and chief administrative officer.
