Acrisure Re establishes Souza-led West Coast presence

June 23 - (The Insurer) - Acrisure Re, the reinsurance division of Acrisure, has appointed senior vice president Danny Souza to establish and lead the company's West Coast presence.
Based in San Francisco, Souza will report to Marc Piccione, partner and managing director of the New York office. Mark Hargreaves, also a senior vice president in San Francisco, will play a key role in the growth of the California platform.
“California offers a significant opportunity for new treaty business and deeper collaboration with the Acrisure West Coast network,” said Simon Hedley, CEO of Acrisure Re. “It is great to have Danny leading this effort, and this marks an exciting step in our North American expansion.”
Souza has been with Acrisure Re and predecessor firm Beach & Associates since 2016.
In April, Acrisure Re appointed Roman Romeo as president and head of its Bermuda operations.
