Japan says US attacks show its determination to prevent Iran from getting nuclear weapons

TOKYO, June 23 (Reuters) - Japan said the U.S. strikes on Iran demonstrated its determination to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, while also calling for a quick de-escalation of the situation.
Japan also said it was "extremely regrettable" the situation between Israel and Iran had escalated into an exchange of retaliation.
