
WASHINGTON, June 18 (Reuters) - The governments of Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo on Tuesday initialed the text of a peace agreement between the two countries, the U.S. State Department said in a joint statement.
The agreement, which will be signed at a ministerial level meeting on June 27, includes provisions relating to territorial integrity and a prohibition of hostilities; disengagement, disarmament, and conditional integration of non-state armed groups.
